Attendance at this program entitles certified Canadian College of Health Leaders members (CHE / Fellow) to 6.75 Category II credits towards their maintenance of certification requirement.

The student rate also applies to service users. Within the framework of the Rendez-vous Santé en français 2017, a “service user” is defined as a person attending because of his or her experience in the health care / social services system. Please email the organizers at to let us know of service users who have registered.

Students who wish to register must present a student card.

*Registration for the RVsanté2017 and the Appreciation Night includes meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner and refreshments during health breaks).

In addition to taxis, Ottawa has a very efficient public transit system ( There are bus stops on almost all streets in the vicinity of the RENDEZ-VOUS venue. In addition to this website, we recommend the Transit app to find your way around the city. There is also a bike share program called VeloGo ( the two closest stations are at the Canadian War Museum and Confederation Park. The region is known for the quality of its bike path system, which was one of the first of its kind in Canada.


Ottawa is renowned for its museums, many of which are located close to the RENDEZ-VOUS site, such as the Canadian War Museum, the Canadian Museum of Nature, the National Gallery of Canada and the Canadian Museum of History. A visit to Parliament is a must. To plan your free visit, go to

Canada 150

2017 also marks the 150th anniversary of Ottawa. One of the events planned at the same time as the Rendez-Vous is a light show at Chaudière Falls, sponsored by Moment Factory, on the history of First Nations peoples ( The Canadian Videogame Awards are also scheduled for November (timetable to come).

Shop and dine

There are countless shops, boutiques, restaurants and bistros near the site of the RENDEZ-VOUS. Close to the hotel, Sparks Street has plenty to offer, and Chinatown and Little Italy are not far away. Consider a walk down Elgin Street or Bank Street, not to mention a visit to the Byward Market and the trendy Westboro, a neighbourhood brimming with restaurants of all kinds.
