From November 1 to November 3, 2017, over 350 stakeholders and decision-makers were present at the largest multidisciplinary gathering in the country to address French-language health care and they commited to the Ottawa Declaration in the name of a healthy Francophonie.
AN IDEAL TIME TO PAUSE AND MEET
We hope to find solutions together and increase access to French-language health care services in Canada. The Rendez-vous 2017 is a forum for stakeholders from Francophone and Acadian minority communities. This meeting will shine a spotlight on the expertise and knowledge of everyone in attendance.
A UNIFYING THEME
To share and plan 150 Ways of Taking Action Together for the next decade, and to celebrate individuals, communities and partners contributing to better access to high-quality and safe health care programs and services in French. This conference is the perfect opportunity to share knowledge and strengthen the cooperation and engagement efforts, because many obstacles remain and are limiting expanded, systemic management of French-language health services outside Quebec.
OBJECTIVES OF THE RENDEZ-VOUS SANTÉ EN FRANÇAIS:
To share and harness knowledge on French-language health care issues and promising solutions.
To stimulate reflection on the future of French-language health care services in Canada.
To encourage participants to take action for Canada-wide benefits.
